Introduction
Nitrox diving exist already for a long time, but just in 1991 it became more popular by divers and they start to use it more often. To fulfill about the increasing questions and need of Nitrox diving is it possible to follow a Nitrox course at Aquarius dive center.
program
During this course we discus about: diving physics and physiology, dive equipment - configurations and dive planning.
A large emphasize is laid on gas management, independent diving and self discipline. The theory will be finished with an exam where a minimum score of 80% is required.
8 Confined water skills and a minimum of 6 open water dives will be made including 1 non-decompression and 1 decompression dive between 30 and 42 meter.
The dives will be made with EANx mixtures between 22 and 40%, stops are made with EANx mixtures between 41 and 50%.
program requirements
Minimum age of 18 year, Advanced diver, CMAS 2 * or equivalent, minimum 50 logged dives with 10 deeper than 30 meter.
Before starting with the course you will make a checkup dive for evaluation.
Beside your own dive equipment you need:
- decompression balloon (+ 22 liter recommended)
- reel (minimum rope length 50 m)
- underwater slate with bottom timer, watch or dive computer
- suitable dive jacket (wing recommended)
- dive tank (oxygen service)
proper wet - dry suit
some equipment available for rent, inform before about the possibilities
