Beside the basic PADI and SSI wreck dive specialty Aquarius dive center offer now also the opportunity to follow the IANTD wreck diver course.


The course is conducted over a minimum of 4 days and 7 dives by IANTD Wreck Dive Instructor - Harry Bakker, who is diving and teaching since 1990 with as main passion - wreck diving.

During the past 2 decades a huge amount of wreck dive experience was gained during hundreds of wreck dives, mainly in the Northern hemisphere.

All this experience will be added as an extra value during the IANTD Wreck Diver course.


The IANTD Wreck Diver course is designed to train the diver in the knowledge, equipment, skills and procedures required to safely and competently dive in the overhead environment of a wreck.

The main focus points of the program is to develop self sufficiency and safety through theory and skills development.


It include:

  • Wreck dive theory
  • Planning
  • Equipment configuration
  • Line drills and use of line reels (water and land)
  • Buoyancy and propulsion techniques
  • Net training
  • Wreck mapping
  • Handling with emergency situations
  • Wreck penetration
* The course progress will be evaluated by using modern UW video techniques.


Prerequisites:
  • Must be qualified as an Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent
  • Must provide proof of minimum required experience during a check dive
  • Must be a minimum of 15 years of age with a parent or guardian authorization, or a minimum of 18 years of age without guardian approval


Beside your standard dive equipment yo need:
  • A dual-outlet cylinder
  • Proper buoyancy device
  • Proper thermal protection
  • 2 first and second stages
  • A long hose (min. 2m)
  • A primary reel and safety reel
    SMB
  • 2 lights
  • Dive computer / bottom timer
  • (wrist)-slate or wet-notes
    Knife / line cutter

Cost:

The course is over 4 days and include 7 dives.
The price is 425 euro inclusive: tank 15l / air, weight, workbook and IANTD certificate.

Additional cost:


* There is a possibility to rent parts of the equipment during the course.

* For EANx divers the course can be made on Nitrox.

* As Advanced EANx diver there is the possibility to make the course with stage and deco obligation(s).
